About

Hello! I’m Annalise and I am the creator and owner of SweetArt Creations. My business began from my love of baking and decorating cakes for my family and friends. I have no training in anything to do with cake, but love being creative and experimenting with new techniques. Not expecting anyone to place an order, I hesitantly advertised my service in June of 2017, and have been solidly booked since!

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design and have always loved everything creative (water colour painting, graphic illustrations, photography, flower arranging …). The name SweetArt Creations was perfect as I wanted to create a business that allowed me to bring all of my passions together!

I pride myself on delivering a service that is to the highest quality that I can possibly achieve, and am so grateful for all of my customers that are allowing me to make sweet art creations!

About

SweetArt Creations specialises in buttercream cake art and graphic design. Recently I have added fondant covered sugar cookies to the menu. These can be customised to any colour and have text of your choice embossed on them. The cookies are vanilla bean flavoured.

FAQ

0EA6DA84-AB80-4968-BA21-E17710CFAAE5

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

SweetArt Creations is a home based business located in Croobyar, on the stunning South Coast of NSW. It is council approved and registered.

DO YOU OFFER SAMPLES IF I DON’T KNOW WHICH FLAVOUR TO CHOOSE?

We do – we offer sample boxes several times per year. These are advertised on my Facebook and Instagram pages and include 8 of our most popular flavours for $40.00.

WHAT ARE YOUR OPERATING HOURS?

SweetArt Creations is open between the hours of 9am and 6pm Monday to Saturday, and between 9am and 10am on Sunday’s (scheduled pick ups only). These hours are strict. Please advise if you need to come outside of these hours.

DO YOU DELIVER?

Yes. Local delivery adds a $10 fee to your order. Deliveries as far as Nowra and Batemans Bay will add $60.00+.

If you are picking up your cake, it needs to be placed on a flat surface, either on the passenger seat floor or the boot. Do not place it on the seat as it is on too much of an angle. It is recommended to turn your air conditioning on and drive straight to where the cake will be stored so that it remains in prime condition.

SweetArt Creations is not responsible for any damage to the cake once it has left the premises.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?

As far as possible. While we do our best to fit in every order, we need as much time as possible to order any special items and to plan the perfect creation.

HOW DO I PAY?

A 50% non refundable deposit needs to be paid to secure your booking. The rest can be paid on pick up. Both payments can be by direct transfer or cash.

HOW DO I STORE MY CAKE?

Please keep your cake in the fridge until 1-2 hours before it is served. This ensures that the buttercream is firm and the cake is stable. Cakes are much nicer to eat when they are at room temperate which is why it is recommended to remove them before they are served.

Please remove any cake toppers, graphics and flowers before cake is cut.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH LEFTOVERS?

Should there be any, they can be wrapped in Glad Wrap or stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. None of SweetArt Creations cakes can be frozen unless discussed previously.

ARE FRESH FLOWERS FOOD SAFE?

All fresh flowers used on SweetArt Creations’ cakes are sourced from either Milton or Ulladulla Florist. They are first cleaned, and then the stems are wrapped in parafilm so that they are not in direct contact with the cake and/or buttercream. All flowers must removed before the cake is cut.

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

You can either fill out the enquiry form on this site, or send a direct message on Facebook or Instagram (sweetart_creations). Please include your name, phone number, preferred flavour, amount of serves needed, date you require the cake for, theme, and any pictures that you think might be relevant.

Alternatively we can be contacted on 0408 434 049.

CAN I HAVE A CAKE MADE THAT I CAN DECORATE MYSELF?

While we do love the science of baking and the enjoyment of recipe testing, our true passion is in creating edible art pieces, and therefore all cakes are sold fully decorated.

WHY ARE CUSTOM CAKES SO EXPENSIVE?
